What is available (for free) out there in the way of programs to see how your computer boots, I've noticed that occasionally Explorer seems to "wander off" and think about something (not sure what) which basically pauses my entire computer and then eventually come back.

Seems to happen at boot time and I'd like to find out what it's doing? Not sure if that's a boot watcher or something else, I tried bootvis but it just seemed to crash lots.

bootvis will monitor it and optimize it. Cut 10 seconds off of my boot time. Completely free.

EDIT: Oh, I just read that you already tried it. NVM.
