I have Windows Vista Ultimate (Full) from UK, and Windows Me (Upgrade), from Australia. It both said Intl' English (which I suspect to be British English)
When I installed it, both of them has American english interface. Is this what supposed to happen when you install Intl' English Vista?

Is there anyway to change it to British English (Microsoft's MUI or modifying registry)?

I've never heard of such a thing...though there might be one if you check the Microsoft site.

I know for sure that the International English one is just plain English (sorry if I cant tell the difference, I'm American :p)

But your best bet would be to check online if they have any extra packs that you could download.

You just need to check the language options in the control panel, if I remember right the setup program always uses US English as default and even if you add UK English you have to wait til the setup is finished before you can remove US. I'm at work at the mo but I'll check the route to find it on Vista when I get home! I think it's comes under "Regional and Language options" or something similar.

Well, the COA said that it's Intl' English (which I assume to be british english).
I use ultimate and I installed French, Italian and Japanese MUI and maybe some other as well (I use french and japanese quite often). There seems to be no option to change to British English. It just said English, and the GUI, most noticeable: "Personalization" and "Favorite" does not change. I've checked Windows Vista Ultmate Extra, I got 11 remaining languages, and none said British or International English. I noticed at Windows folder there is a folder like FR-fr, EN-US. I assume if it is british english, then it would be EN-GB.

For you who ask the difference, the british spelling for those words are "PersonaliSation" and "FavoUrite".

The only things that use British English in my computer is mozilla firefox.

I'm a bit confused that microsoft said Intl' English, while the appearance of Windows is US English.

    that is strange..

I would have made the same assumption that International English would be UK English. That certainly is the case with software from Adobe.

I would also have thought that the folder would, like you say, either be EN-GB or EN-UK.
I'll check later on today how my Vista installation at home describes UK English and how the language settings are handled. Perhaps international versions of Vista are shipped with UK English missing?

I use that setting English (United Kingdom) since the beginning. Still, it appeared in American English.

All I can think of is that English (United States) is still the default language. Everything that you've done sounds right to me. I'm just as puzzled as you!

There's enough everyday-words so you see a major difference in the UI? (English isn't my main). I mean, I know some words differ but are they that many of them?
