Yea so I'm getting this problem and I can't seem to pin down what's causing the problem.

    Here's the lowdown:
    Windows 7 Ultimate
Comp with the specifications in my sig
Was running chrome, utorrent, objectdock, itunes

I was trying to add a song to my library when the bsod occurred. But I'm not sure what this bsod means.

It could be just some random glitch happened. Personally I wouldn't worry about it unless you try and recreate the steps exactly and it happens again, where then you might have a problem.

Try closing uTorrent before you import to the library.

iTunes is pretty buggy to begin with anyway

Download and run a program called memtest86. And we are going to need the FULL details of the BSOD, all of them. And if you could upload a minidump, that would be great.

Minidumps can be found in C:/Windows/Minidump.

My minidump folder is empty. And can memtest86 be used with an emulator cuz it comes as an .iso

Also are there any other details you want me to find?

Memtest needs to be run directly from the BIOS. You need to burn the iso and boot to it.

I have the same pb with a DV5 1161en. IRQL can mean a lot but your BSOD's apears like mines (I running W7 ULTIMATE/64bit) and utorent and othe applications.

I search a lot to solve it out. You should do the following steps:
*enable the minidump (it will save dumps in c/windows/minidump); then (copy/paste the dump and) analyze it with whocrashes or bluescreenviewer (better), or any other program. debug it for more info (someone else did it for me)
*update BIOS from HP web site; it's easy
*update all your drivers (at realtek i found a new driver -from March- for the network card)
*test your RAM and HDD online on HP site (will take hours)
    *test for malware and viruses
*the MOST probably will be the INTEL WIFI driver (NETw5s64.sys). Pls check http://communities.intel.com/thread/10055?tstart=0. Intel recognize that they have a problem with this driver ON 64 BIT. As a recomendation: update your wifi drv withe the newest release from intel: 13.1.1.1. This will not solve the problem completly but they say there is an improuvement; there are 5-6 days since i have no BSOD with this new wifi drv.

WHAT i did not do: i did not install the wifi driver from HP (is older but what if it's the bestone?).

    Good luck!
