    So, does anybody use Bumptop?

    Bumptop

It's a 3D interactive desktop application that pretty much transforms your PC desktop into a desk. Stack files and folders like real documents. Pin notes on "walls." And much more.

The program is physics driven, and dependent on graphics hardware (GPU), not the CPU.

According to the website, it is Windows XP, Vista and 7 ready, in both 32bit and 64bit flavors.

There is a free version and a Pro version that is $29.99, which of course has more features than the free version.

    Any thoughts on this?

useless but fun thing. i wouldn't pay for it. and the developer reads too much usability into it "by making it like a real desktop". 3d is never really that usable, that's why we still are at a 2d desktop..

but it's fun, that's for sure.

Certainly looks cool, I might actually install it on my "extra" laptop. Hey maybe I'll write a review on it comparing it to the good ole' 2d desktop (honestly I feel like ideas about 3d GUIs aren't fresh enough, maybe it's time to at least see what they now offer). Good find Matt, want me to keep you updated?

    I'd like that, please do.

I'm wanting to try it on my girlfriend's tablet.

I haven't seen anyone reply to this, and I just now got off my butt, so here goes.

It seems to work, and it seems to work fairly well. I only just got done installing it, and I'm actually now instalilng the newer version. So I'm going to be playing around with it a bit more. But, from the brief little bit that I did play with it (after skipping the tutorial), it seems to work well. We'll see though as I run other apps..
