Is it possible to burn bootable ISO images (ie. Linux install image) using the Sonic DigitalMedia LE v7 that came with my system?

I've tried burning a "data" disc with the image, but it does't boot from CDROM.

I don't burn a lot of CD/DVD's so I'd like to be able to do this w/o having to go out and buying Roxio or Nero but I haven't been able to get it done so far. Any help is appreciated.

What do you need burned a game, movie? I use Alcohol 120%. Just download the free version. You will be able to use it as long as you want. I created a copy of a game of mine and it worked great. This way you don't have to worry about sratching the original. It is pretty straight forward but if you need help let me know.

Thanks for the suggestions. I never did figure out how to write to DVD from ISO with Sonic DigitalMedia.

I did, however, find a solution.

    1) I had bad media. I purchased some really cheap DVD+R media. Turns out this was part of the problem but I still couldn't get the Sonic software to work with the new, higher quality media.

    2) Found a really nice FREE CD/DVD Burning Utility. CDBurnerXP Pro 3 is a freeware software package that worked for me. To write to DVD (or CD) from an ISO image file simply select File -> Write to Disc from ISO, put in your disc, select the ISO file you want to write to disc and you're all set. It also seems like this software package has lots of features found in expensive packages such as Nero, etc.

Anybody else have experience with CDBurnerXP Pro 3?
