Hi all Im new with buring dvds and I can't seem to get it working right. My driver is a HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4080N and I have a gatway laptop. When I try to add a movie file it tells me that windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file and it gives me an oppshon to retry or cancel. I dont know if I need to updeat my driver or what can anyone help please.

You might want to list what program you are using to burn the DVD. Also, many DVD videos have copy protection on them, to prevent you from successfully copying them...as it's illegal to copy and distribute. However, there are a slew of sites out there on the web that will tell you what the copy protection scheme being used is, and how to defeat it, by specific settings on different burning software.

I'd try doing a search on google.com. Since you may be hinting at piracy, many forums like this don't always allow discussions of these topics(I'm not sure about this site...I can't remember what the rules said right now).
