I'm after some burning software, i've tried nero bloatware trial, which although easy to use, i don't need all of the other junk that comes with it.
I'm not to worried about the cost although i don't really need to be paying a over the odds.
What are some good alternatives to nero, is ashampoo any good?? Are there any good free software programs out there that are any good (although i do realise you get what you pay for lol).

Burnaware is pretty good. I'm like you I don't like the junk that other companies include like Roxio and Nero.

I actually left Roxio on my notebook, even after uninstalling all the other vendor-installed stuff, just because it just works.

If you like the Nero interace but without the bloat,
you can try Nero Micro which is everything except the core burning tools stripped out:

I'm going to run through the different titles you've all listed. cheers guys.
I have noticed something strange with nero though.
Basically, there was an extra folder (programs) in the all programs section of the start menu. Within this folder was all of my programs and shortcuts replicated from the all programs section. I found this really weird, tried to get rid of it but couldn't, then, when i've uninstalled nero, it's gone. Very bizzare or am i missing something?????
