I've noticed that all of a sudden, some buttons in my programs no longer produce a reaction when clicked. For example, when using Xilisoft Video Converter, I can't click the "add" button. Also, when using Outlook, I can't attach any files or pictures even though I can attach items and clip art. Various other buttons don't work as they're supposed to. Does anyone have an Idea why this may happen?

    Thanks in advance.

The only thing I could think of doing would be running an antivirus scan followed by an antispyware scan...

Someone far more knowledgeable is likely to post, but for the moment, I'd recommend that.

I ran an Avira and MalwareBytes ful scan overnight. No detections. I feel like it may have to do with a TweakVi registry cleanup that I ran a couple days ago. Unfortunately, the backup of my registry is on her external hard drive and she is far away. Is there a way to quickly and easily transfer 10 GB of data over the internet without the complexities of making torrents or setting up online accounts?

Sounds like an Anti-Virus program is preventing you from clicking some of the buttons. You might be able to get the ability back by lowering the security level temporarily in the AV program.

As for a file-syncing program, may I suggest Live Mesh:
    Live Mesh
It uses your Hotmail/Live Account to sync data, so no signing up is required if you already have a Live Account setup.

I had the exact same problem, and thought it was my mouse or touchpad that was causing it --- but amazingly, when I downloaded IE8, believe it or not -- the problem disappeared and never occurred again!

What???? Tell us which antivirus application prevents button clicks inside applications. I, for one, want to stay far away from that antivirus program. Very far away.
