I defragmented my hard drive using the the built in WIndows defragmenter. Once that was done, I pressed the analyze button to see if it worked. It came up saying that I should defragment my drive, even though I had already just done it. Then, I downloaded Disk Keeper Pro. I defragmented with that, and the result showed that my C Drive was in bad condition. Something to do with the MFT. How can I fix this? Should I format my laptop?

    Try running chkdsk.

Otherwise, try posting the exact message. "Something to do with the MFT" isn't the easiest error message to diagnose... ;)

That doesn't really help. Run it again, and write down the error this time, then post back in here.

Run diskeeper, hit action > Configure Diskeeper > Diskeeper Configuration properties > Frag Shield (Paging File and MFT Settings > click Edit. Scroll down till you see C: drive and click Configure te MFT on this volume to the recommended size..scroll all the way down and hit Submit, hit Proceed then finish.

If the MFT is fragmented, right-click on the C: drive in Diskeeper window, and click Boot-Time Defragmentation Job, chose the volume from the top i.e. C or D, then tick those boxes:

Same problem: After defragmenting for the first time, I was notified that my C: Drive's health was "degraded" and that the MFT will become fragmented as a result of 99% of something being something. Yeah, vague, I know.
