    Hi,

I just did a clean install, (vista on C: (50G))
And installed some software, but i noticed that after one day's using, the free space of C: decreased about 5-8G, without installing anything else. I don't know what's going on...

    Could somebody help me?

    Thank you

If you want a detailed file-by-file and folder-by-folder breakdown, take a look at JDiskReport ( http://www.jgoodies.com/freeware/jdiskreport/). You can download it or just run it using Java Web Start (click on the link on the page). It will give you a really good idea of where disk space is going.

Admittedly, it is a lot more useful once you start installing software and using the laptop more.

    Regards,

    z.

I guess multiple restore points is causing the problem for u....

Go to Control Panel/System/Tasks Pane - System Protection/Uncheck the drive(s) you do not want restore points taken for/Apply.

Also I recommend disk clean up once !!

You can also remove all but the most recent one there...
