Thanks for this information, I installed the new one. Here's what it looks like:

A small thing I noticed about CCleaner is that it doesn't read your actual CPU speed, I think it is just getting the processor information from somewhere. ;)

NOD32 shows me just about the same information so i guess they may be getting it from the System Information service.

Yup it just gets your "default"/stock CPU info, not actual speed.

Ah, it runs much better on my Eee PC now. The earlier version was kind of slow during the Registry Scan and also when it was searching for start-up programs.

It's funny, I've checked every day but today I forgot to check. Thanks for the Update! :)

Glary Utilities Pro finds more registry entries (but most are minor) and I think it defragments your registry as well. I've used it a couple of months ago but found CCleaner to be a better substitute since the installation was not as great on my Eee PC and the fact that it could almost clear as much junk off my computer as that Glary Utilities app.

    I also liked CCleaner's GUI more. :D

Understatement of the century. I don't use any anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware or anti- any other utilities as I don't need to. This one little program covers it.

Well, strictly speaking not for virus protection, but honestly who gets viruses but uninformed users that go out of their way to download and run suspicious programs from unknown sources or trawl warez sites...

Can i ask someone to post how to optimize CCleaner

I know some people add something to make it get to clean more places and such.

You can actually get a virus just by surfing the net. I was on multiple websites the other week (no not porn or illegal sites) and AVG suddenly popped up with a virus alert. It found a trojan virus in the temporary internet cache in a .gif file format

Umm it says it all there. The more boxes you tick, the more places it will analyze and clear. Be careful though..
