    I am not an expert, but there are better registry cleaners out there that cost money - and some that don't but can get you into trouble. CCleaner does a really good, and safe, job of the process, IMHO.

    No. I like Free Windows Registry Repair more because it cleans out way more. CC Cleaner usually gets 50 or less items, while Free Windows Reg Repair gets in the 100s. See here to try it.

    It's not the best registry cleaner since it doesn't specialize in it completely. Ccleaner does more than just clean the registry. Other apps only clean registry, therefore they probably do a better and more thorough job.

    imo my fav reg cleaner is jv16powertools. very powerful and a newb needs to be careful what they delete.. ccleaner is GREAT for free and great for people who dont know how to use this type of program. my mom for instance uses it. she can pretty safely always run it and it will not delete the wrong things on her.. those are the people i recc this to

    Hmmm, thanks for the link. The program seems to have been updated, i'll check it out again. Hopefully i'll be able to get it fully tested without problems.
