Ugh.. As it turns out the Sonic CD Burner that came my lappy won't let me burn files which have Korean characters in them..

I have a CD burner in my laptop and a CD Burner in my Desktop.
Any suggestions on what software I should use?
Nero I've used before, but I really don't want most of the crap that comes in Nero 7.
    Something free would be nice..

Absolutely must be able to burn files with Japanese, Chinese, and Korean characters in the filenames!!

EDIT: Nero 7 can't do it either!! It changes the filename 리얼 로망스 연애편지.E114.Loveletter.060121.SDTV.XViD-HOSOONi.avi
The same filename without the characters..
    Help please!!

CDBurnerXP and DeepBurner are free and work well for the basics. Don't know if they'll do the character, but it is worth a shot. The Nero installer should let you pick and choose which parts to install.

Nero cannot handle unicode characters, in fact the only CD burning program I have ever used that can handle unicode characters is the default Windows burning utility.

Thanks for the input.. I just figured it out on the forums here : http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=35288

I had to go in an change my locale settings, reboot, and then both Nero and Sonic Plus would take the filename without any fuss.. That's still really inconvenient.. The setting I had to change was the default characterset for non-unicode programs.. Something like that.. Anyway, having to reboot everytime I want to burn a CD in a different charset is annoying.

Thanks, I'll check out programs. Maybe what I need is a CD burning program that fully supports Unicode filenames.. (I don't think that is part of the ISO-9660 Specs, so it'd have to be something else.)

How do you run that exactly?

Go into Explorer and drag the files you want to burn onto the burner drive. Then click on the folder button to get rid of the tree and get that menu instead in which you press Burn. But the Windows burning utility, though I have never had any problems with it. It can only burn data/audio CDs & does not have data verification. I didn't know Nero would recognize them if the computer locale was changed, I should try that sometime..
