Hi everybody,
I'm having some problems when recording CDs in my Asus notebook.
I have a CD / DVD burner (TSST Corporation; Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology Corporation is the manufacturer).
When I burn DVDs everything it's OK, but when I try to burn CDs, I always get a message error. Yesterday I got three of them; 2 at 98%, so I could use the CD anyways; and another one at the beggining of the burning, which left my CD blank.
I tried using Roxio Easy Cd & DVD, and Nero (which came with my laptop), but both of them had the same problems...
Any suggestions?? Anyone experienced anything like this??

Try a different brand of CDs and/or changing the write speed.
The drive uses different light rays to read/write CDs and DVDs so there might be an issue with the CD support, yet I think this scenario is somewhat unlikely. -

Could this be a failure of the recorder? Or it's just software / CD brand?
Should I take it to service?
I changed write speed, 24x, 16x, 8x. All the same
CD recording problems... DVD ok.
