Hey guys,
I downloaded the Centrino Hardware control for some undervolting on my Inspiron the other week and had no problems, great little program. However, when trying to use it on my new 259IA, I extract all the files to the folder, but when running chc.exe I get error message: Exception of type "System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.
Makes no sense to me considering I have 2GB of RAM (with well over 3/4 available), and a 1.5GB pagefile....
Any suggestions?

Might just be a bad install, delete, download again, and try to re-install.

Done that a couple times now, first thing I thought of doing... no dice I'm afraid.

Huh...you might fire off an email to the developer to see what's up.

Perhaps... it just occured to me that it may be something to do with the fact it is a fresh install of XP Pro SP2... does not have the .NET framework, etc as of yet. So I might try downloading and installing all the Windows updates first and try again. If no go, I'll fire off that e-mail.

Well what Inspiron do you have? because i beleive that you have to have a Processor with Sonoma technoligy in able to Undervolt it. the i6000 has sonoma , imnot sure about others.

There is a fella around here that could not install it with .net 2.0. Maybe try .net 1.1?

No, you don't need a Sonoma to use it. Dothans and Banias work, too. When you download it, be sure to save it to disk (like on the desktop). When I tried running it from the temporary internet files location, it doesn't install. .NET is also a necessity.

Thanks all
