Hi...
While I use Office 2010, I don't use Outlook. I am looking for a very lghtweight calendar. can you suggest a few alternatives?
I would prefer a calendar that I can stick onto the task bar and not one which is desktop-based. If it syncs with Google Calendar, that would be great too.
Thanks

I actually prefer the built in Windows calendar in Vista which was removed in Windows 7. If you're interested I can give you the link on where to find it or I can email it to you as it's only about a 3mb file.

You can give Rainlendar a try as well

Well, I am currently using this Windows Calendar from Vista. The only think is I don't know how to sync that with Google Calendar. Otherwise it is pretty good. Do you know how to sync this with Google?
Thanks
Thanks. But I am trying to stay away from any desktop-based calendars. I just want a small and simple program that I can pin to the task bar.
Right! Thanks! I used to use TB + Litening, which was pretty good. Did not know about Sunbird. I thought Mozilla had discontinued it with Litening 1.x. I'll give it a shot and see how it works. I don't know if Litening can be used outside TB. From what I read briefly, development on Sunbird has been terminated. -
I installed Outlook purely for its calendar and ease of synching with google calendar and my Nokia 6700 classic. I have no interest in its email/contacts portions, so just ignore them.

@ anseio...I'm afraid I don't have Outlook. I also don't plan to get it. I use Gmail. I thought of using the Windows Mail program from the Live Essentials program set, but the thought of syncing that with Gmail is too daunting.

If you get the one from portable apps, you don't even have to install it. It's totally portable and runs from the exe.

I did a lot of research. This one is great.
Very light. Tons of features. The free version is good enough, but the paid does have good additional features.
When it is minimized, it uses very view resources. Only about 4 K of memory which is not a lot.

@kevinla...thanks. I forgot to mention that I tried that earlier. But for some reason I have problems synching it with my Google Calendar. I wish the Windows Calendar had 2-way synching with Google's Calendar. That would be perfect!
