My wife and I use the same computer . . . HP dv9500t.
We are not into multiple accounts with different desktops and files, etc. We just use the computer.
We have set up the computer with Vista Home Premium and have the fingerprint reader working with her fingerprint.
We would like to know if we can get that one account to work with my fingerprint.
Yes, I could type in the password for her account, but was wishing to use the fingerprint reader for my print also on her account . . . that we we only have one account.
I am not even sure if we use 2 accounts, one for her and one for me, how to get our desktops to work exactly the same and be in sync.
Any help out there?
Thanks!![]()

Could you set it up so that your pointer finger (or finger of choice) is associated with her account's ring or pinky finger? HP Protect Tools only requires you to register 2, but you can have 10 registered. When you log in, you don't have to specify which finger you're going to scan.
Go into Protect Tools
Click Credential Manager
Click the Credentials tab
Choose register, and select a finger that your wife did not register
Scan your finger following on-screen prompts
Now you should be setup! Let us know if it works. -
Awesome!
Worked great!
Thanks for your help, ttupa!
