Hi all, I've got another question. In "My Downloads", I've got about 400 MB of icons and at least 3/4 of them are installers and set-ups. Since I've Already installed the software, is it safe to delete these?

    Thanks a lot.

    Yes it is.

edit: To clarify, it is absolutely 100% safe to remove those files. They are no longer in use and are only taking up space.

Completely safe... but its not a bad idea to put them on a USB key or something so that should you need to install them again in the future you can save yourself the time to download them all over again.

100% safe and in fact I do it each time I install something from the internet. The installer will never again be in use unless your re-installing something. However, you might want to keep the installer for your web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (depends on what you use) to install it again in case something happens.

One downside of deleting msi installers is that you will often lose the definitive deinstall information.

I agree with this. In case of some type of drive failure, or if you decide to ever do a clean install, you will have them at your disposal, and not have to look them all up again.

Thanks for the help. I think I'll take your advice and back them up before removing.
