Hey guys, since the final release of Windows 7 for testing is about to come out I was wondering if because its not set to expire for over a year when the final boxed retail version of Windows 7 comes out I can simply install it and continue without losing my data? Can I simply install over it or upgrade it and keep my data?

I think that you might have to clean install once the final version comes out.

Without doing it myself I would guess you need to do a clean install.

I'm pretty sure the hack MS published to bypass the build check was for that purpose. When the RTM is out just backup your data and try to upgrade if that fails you can always do the clean install...

Most likely you would be required to do a clean install.

Hmmm that sucks, I guess I'll just wait until the final version comes out hopefully on October 23rd then.
