Digital River seems to have sent me the download link (for the $30 deal) but no product key. Can I install Win7 and, as in Vista, have 30 days to enter the key? Or should I definitely wait until I have access to the email address I ordered with tomorrow where I assume (and hope!) they sent the key?
Thanks a bunch,
Naomi

Yeah, you will have 30 days to enter your key.

The product key should be at step 6 in the email they sent... If they sent you the download link I don't think they're going to be sending you another email with the key in it, so if you don't have it now I would suggest calling them. If you really don't have it I would wait until you get it all straightened out (their tech support is likely to be swamped right now with all of the people trying to download).

I used a friend's edu addy to buy the product, and he's asleep now (I'm overseas). He'll forward me the emails they sent tomorrow. I used the email addy I ordered with and the last 5 digits of the credit card to log in and get the download link - but there's no product key on that page or any other that I can find.
Also - call them? Have you seen a phone number anywhere? I can't find one... -

This is the address to digital rivers support site... but I would wait until your friend gets up as technically you are not even supposed to have this copy. -
Shhh!

Yes, you can install win7 without a product key - just click next. Later, when you have your license key, open "System" in the control panel and at the bottom click on "Activation". You'll be able to enter your key and all will be well
Can I install Win7 without a product key and supply it later as in Vista, XP (I believe)?
