    Hey

Is there a way of putting all your files on a IP address designed for you or a

Certain web site were you only have access.

The reason I ask is becuase I have family in canada and have video's of the kids and want them to be able to access these files that I put on?

    Thanks guys.

You will need to purchase an FTP site/server. You can then assign username and passwords so they can access it

Why dont you upload it zipped on rapidshare or privately on youtube?

There are a lot of sites that can do these. One is Multiply, though it is really a social networking site. But my family and relatives use this since most of us do have an account of our own there and we have one central account where we store pictures and videos (since we live in different places). With that, you can create only one account and have everyone get access to that account, and post the videos for yourself only.

Another way is you can setup your own ftp server and serve the files from there (though the videos won't be streaming, instead they'd have to download the complete video to watch it) But I don't know if all ISPs allow this. The downside with this is that your computer+the ftp server software will have to be turned on every time they (your family) downloads these files.

Edit: Saw flipfire's post. Yeah, you can use youtube too. The reason I thought of Multiply is since my relatives also share photos and Multiply has that too.

You can also try Windows Live FolderShare.

It lets you "sync" a specified folder between multiple computers.

    Here's a link: http://www.foldershare.com/
