There are some PDF file I want to edit. I have tried to use some converter to transform the PDF to word document, however the format is changed. So I am wondering if there are some software that can directly edit an existing PDF file.

    Thank you!

FoxIt has a PDF editor (isn't free though), but it works well. Does not support Vista64 though so watch out.

I have never edited a pdf only created them. That said if I had to change something I would save the pdf as an image and edit it in photoshop then save it as a pdf again.

There are at least two FREE converters from PDF to DOC (or RTF, which Word can also read):

    ZamZar
    KoolWire

Try ZamZar first. KoolWire works, but the original site is in Italian (I can understand it, not sure if you can). The English version is not that brilliant though.

    Hope it helps!

    There is a way out.

Use any of these commercial converter/editor, make changes you want to make. Then Give print command, use Primo PDF and it will create a new edited pdf for you.
Watermark only appears when you try to save these.

I have tried and tested this method.

Another solution, if all you're dealing with is text and you have the capacity to convert a MSWord doc to pdf, is to highlight and copy the text from the current pdf and paste it into a new doc, make your changes, and then convert to a new pdf (on the MS Word I use, there's a function to print to pdf under the "print" menu item).

i second that. In OO writer, just click export directly as PDF, and that's it! :)
of course if you want to edit, instead of create pdfs, you'll hav to install the extension.

Foxit Reader for sure. I don't have a link to it but just google foxit reader and you'll probably find it just fine.

EDIT: I don't know what Greg is talking about, I have used Foxit rcently and it is free....
