I have a dropbox account, which is great for syncing files, etc, but I would like extra storage to keep as a tertiary backup for certain files and need about 20-25GB. Primarily personal photos and videos, etc. I have a windows home server and also backed up to an external hard drive, but want to back up all my photos and videos and some other personal documents for that very remote chance my house blows up or something.

I found ADrive, but haven't heard much about them. Has anyone else used them and do they seem like a reliable and decent service?

Just get some cheap USB enclosure and 2.5" drive, back up the stuff and drop them at work/friends place. Cheaper, faster.

I have 2 80G 2.5" drive sitting next to me which I cannot find any use for, so it is also free. I copy to it @ 20-40MB/s, what kind of speed you think you can do upload at ?

online free storage are good for small things, not that kind of volume.

Well good for you. I'd prefer an online method without worrying about having to cart around a drive to my parents house, friends house, etc. I guess I was asking for opinions on the Adrive service and not for alternatives, as I've thought about them already.

I'm not sure. It seems alright! I might give it a shot. I've been having a look at some reviews, and it's not very well known as they are new to the world of cloud, but still good. I'll take 'er for a test drive.

Yeah, I might as well give it a shot. It's not like I'll be storing stuff that I don't have backed up already.
