For a few reasons I would like to get back to Vista on my laptop. Few days ago I installed Windows 7 (upgrade which came with my laptop) through a custom install.

-- Can I now install, Vista (using my recovery CD overwriting Win7 upgrade)

-- And would upgrading Vista later be still possible [using my Win7 upgrade which I had allready used once] (or is it only 1 time upgrade)?

The systems which I'm mentioning are all OEM shipped with my laptop.

You will need to reinstall. Cant do a downgrade to vista without a clean install.

If its a one time upgrade or not really depends on what license you got.

It should be possibe for you to install as many times as you want on the same computer. You can also use 7 without activating for a while so that you do not need to use your key till you are sure you will keep 7.

What wave said, which would be yes.

You can later choose to upgrade again to Windows 7. If it is an OEM upgrade product key, then this is only valid on the first system you activated the product key, which is your current system.

If it is a retail upgrade product key, the key is not tied to the first system you activated it on.

There is no such thing as a one time upgrade product key.

Sounds good as I might have to do this since I can no longer connect to my work's network drive since the upgrade. One last call to make before I do this and that's to call MS Pro support as email support said they couldn't help me.
