    I guess they mean individual hotfixes won't be downloaded automatically but rather we will get the big cumulative updates which are bi-weekly

    Unless you have a specific problem seen on your PC config its not a big deal.
    I did have a instance to download machine specific KB article hotfix to fix some printer issues on XP and 7.

    They release update as cumulative updates only now. Unless there is a major flaw or discovery then they will most likely announce a update.
