I am looking to purchase a laptop which can only be ordered with Win 7 Home Premium. If I buy the Win 7 Professional upgrade from Win741 could I use it to upgrade that installation or can it only be used to upgrade from XP or Vista?

I have seen that I can do the Anytime upgrade for $90.00. Obviously the student deal for $30.00 would be preferred.

    Thank you for the help.

You should be able to use the student deal to upgrade no problem.

Wow you are a Super Mod. Granted it is early its barely 2am. :)

I guess even if it does not work someone I know will need the upgrade. Thank you so much.

If it gives you any problems, install the OS upgrade first without a product key...and then reinstall with the product key. It is a bit of a pain, but like I said I do not think it will come to that.
