I purchased the upgrade version of W8 Pro from Digital River. I downloaded the ISO and used freeISOburner to rip the ISO to a DVD.

I can boot from the DVD I created with a laptop that has a built in DVD drive but the laptop I want to install this on a Vostro V13 needs an external DVD which I was using but couldn't get it to boot from that drive. If I put a Windows 7 DVD in the external DVD drive it boots no problem. So I have eliminated the drive as an issue.

Is freeISOburner what I should use to rip the W8 ISO? Should I rip the ISO to a USB Flash Drive? :hi2:

EDIT: Had to create a bootable USB Flash drive.
