So I get this for free from my school and all I want to do is edit a 5 minute video. I just want to remove the sound from it and that's it. This application is by far the most difficult to navigate through. I hope I'm posting this in the right section as I couldn't find an Adobe section.

Can someone please give me some advice on how perform basic operations in this software. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

I did and couldn't find anything helpful to me.

I have a .mp4 video file and when I import it its always red, very confusing.
