Can't connect to password protected WiFi on Windows 10

Running on a Clevo with a clean install of Windows 10.

I've tried 3 different wifi cards - doesn't work.

I've tried all the latest drivers - doesn't work.

I've gone through the internet, disabling teredo, isatap, 6to4 - doesn't work.

At this point I am all out of ideas. Anyone have any?

edit: Forgot to mention, open WiFi works fine. Just password protected does not work. I type the password, it says connecting, and then dies. The router sees that it authenticated just fine.

The network is not even saved. After retyping in the password it still fails.

 

Is your laptop made for Windows 10 and does Clevo have Windows 10 drivers for it? This needs to be first known.

 

yes and yes. doesn't matter since i've tested three different cards with multiple drivers.

 

How sure this is your wifi not someone else? Is your wifi a unique name or default name? If 3x doesn't work it would stand to reason your not connecting to your network unless you forgot the password that you changed to and this does happen as well.

 

That's the dumbest thing I've heard all day. I have multiple devices that can connect to my network. Even Windows 8.1. This problem is specific to Windows 10 and nothing else.

I looked through router logs and saw that while it authenticates just fine, I think windows has an issue where it fails to save the password. Probably some permissions issue somewhere.

 

There are quite of few others having the same problem with Win 10 not connecting to Wi Fi. Some different fixes out there from bios updates to corrupt system files, to reinstalling drivers, etc. You could do a google search on 'Windows 10 not connecting to Wi Fi' to see if any of those fixes will help you. I know you said you went through the internet and I assume you did a google search but there may be a fix you missed.

 

Well here goes takes one to know one. It has come to past that those using such words have a problem with others already here without evening having to mention it. I used XP, Vista, W7, W10 and have no wifi connection issues so your logic has no bases to stand on. So if your not really wanting to get to the bottom of the problem rather to come up with something other then to figuring out the issues shows there will be no solution here forth coming from anyone.

Can you post screenie of network card - device manager? Have had wifi card who connected and then the connection died(Killer). Only re-install of new clean Windoze X fixed the Wifi connecting flaws.
