    Hi All,

I recently added Itunes and Quicktime to my XPS 1210 so that I could organize and play my Itunes songs and update my Ipod. Unfortunately, the other day I accidently deleted Quicktime (I had a huge brain fart!!!). I've tryed to reinstall quicktime and I keep getting an error.
As a result, I restored my computer's operating system to an earlier time (before I deleted Quicktime) but my itunes still doesn't work cause of Quicktime. Now, I can't delete quicktime nor re-install it (I keep getting a "-3" error??).

Anyhow... I'd like to be able to used Itunes but I can't seem to get rid of the old unuseble version or reinstall a new version.

    Any suggestions??

    Cheers!

delete the regkeys with Quicktime/itunes on it.
That or go to c:/program files and go look for quicktime and iTunes and delete the folders

See if this works for you (obtained from the following link: http://retrovirus.com/incr/2005/11/quicktime-problem/):

    1. Download Microsoft Windows Install Cleaner: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

    2. Install and run it. In the program box, look for any traces of quicktime. You may only find left over pieces labeled with their version numbers and not the words “quicktime”. For example, it may have the words “7.0.2″ in the program box. That was the left over quicktime piece. Highlight the left over pieces and click “remove”.

    3. Download the standalone installer for quicktime and install: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

    I hope this helps.

un-install iTunes and then install both programs again. I had the same program, but doing this solved the problem.
