I just received my ORIGIN PC - MILLENNIUM which has Win 7 FTW on it fully updated with all the latest Windows updates.
So far running good but I cannot find the power icon in the taskbar. I would like to have it so I can switch easily between balanced and ORIGIN power plans as I don't want to run the CPU @ 4.2 GHz when I am just surfing the net.
Any ideas?

He's on a desktop, the icon doesn't show on it by default. There should be a registry edit for it or there is a way to create a shortcut to switch plans (I don't remember how to do that though).

Edit: I found this but that's not what I want, I just want the icon in the taskbar not to create shortcuts of registry entries. Plus, the Origin power plan is a custom power plan which
I want to switch between it and the balanced plan that guide only shows you how to create shortcuts for the Balanced, High Performance, and Power Saver -
Go to Control Panel > Notification Area Icons. There you can enable the power icon to be shown all the time by the clock, and click right or left on it for options.

what about "Control Panel > Notification Area Icons", at the bottom of that window "turn system icons on/off"?
My win7 desktop has it... -

So someone is terribly sensitive and deleted my post. Of course there is no way for me to contact this moderator because that part isn't displayed.
Come on... my post was nothing compared to some of the things that are said around here. Grow a pair.
EDIT: I'm done with NBR for a long while!!!!Last edited: Jul 16, 2015GeorgeGently and octiceps like this. -
While desktop stuff does not belong here this kind of does. In that what shows on your laptop may not convey to a desktop machine. As far as power conservation they are two different animals. For this then the thread is now closed. If further discussion is required please use the desktop area.
