When i try to install it...this comes up "Microsoft office home and student 2007 encountered an error during setup"

I had the trial before....i have now purchased the full version but it won't let me install.

OH and now it says that my SQL server is not found OR i should re-install it which i have no clue where to find that at.

I tried to repair the SQL sever from the 'add and remove window'
but it says that it's not found and may have been moved to a new location

    please help

i get this message saying "Your SQL server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with (could not open SQLEVN70.RLL). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem."

    HOW DO I DO THIS?

Do you have, or are you supposed to have, an SQL server running in the first place?

Yah, I read your Office 2007 thread after this one - you really should limit yourself to one thread (probably that one, since it's more comprehensive and you've given more info on the SQL issue there than here). Since the two seem to be related, you'll get better answers on that thread than by splitting off little subissues into their own little threads.

    The threads have been merged.

Try running the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility and see if you can unistall Office. As, the program isnt a guarantee and it advises you not to use it for office 2007( however some people have reported it being successful for uninstalling office 2007) so... make a restore point just to be safe.

If the utility doesnt work, then you can manually uninstall Office 2007(more advance but there is good instructions):
