    Can't install Net 3.5

    I'm having an issue installing the Net 3.5 on Win 8.1. When I check the box in Turn Windows Features on and off, it downloads but then gives an error. Anyone else having an issue?

    Were you trying to install something else when running the .net 3.5 installer. I had that issue before when Windows Update was running (as in taking care of some updates) and trying to get the .net 3.5 update. In any case, the standalone from whatsthepoint will work for sure.

    It downloads from Window's Update. But gives an error on install.

    Install .Net 3.5 cmd(admin) "DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source :D:\sources\sxs" without quotes, Source :D: use the correct letter (USB).

    Ended up having to do a re-install of OS. Right after did the install and it worked. What a pain

    No, the 4.5 or 4.0 installers don't include .NET framework 3.5 .
