When using IE7, when I click on a link to open in a New Window (by pressing shift-LINK), it always opens up the link in a new window that is about half the size of the original window. I then always have to maximise the window.
With the new window open, I have tried to maximise the size of the window by dragging and also by clicking on the 'Square' icon on the top right corner, then closing the window either by pressing 'X' or File-Close Tab. When I reopen the window by pressing shift-LINK, the window size has not changed and it is still the small size. I have also tried to resize the window a little bigger then closed it, but remains the small size when I reopen it by pressing shift-LINK.
This problem is driving me nuts...................I am using Vista Ultimate 32bit, and never had this problem when using XP SP2. I always used to be able to resize windows with no problem.
Can someone help !!!!!!!![]()

Try this:
Close all IE windows. Now open up one IE window and resize it to what you want. Then File > Close that window.
Now open up a new IE window again. Did it keep the same size as what you just resized it to?
If so, continue browsing and see if the new shift-links have that window size. -
^^the above method works. To open IE always maximized, open one IE page, click the maximize button, then close it. Try opening IE now, all windows should maximized.
