Hey guys, when I plug in any USB flash disk or any external HDD that is supposed to take the next available drive letter (in this case, drive F, i will not be able to see the F: letter in my computer.
I have to go to disk management, and change the drive letter to anything else to be able to view it.
so the problem doesn't lie with the drive itself or the driver. its just that 7 is not able to see drive F:
how to remedy this?
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate RTM (64-bit) [genuine activation] **don't ask me how**

Oh, how, how???? JK. What are the letters for your other drives? On previous versions, it would relabel my drives to C, D, and E, but now they match what XP sees.

Would you list all of your drives (ie: c, d, e, etc etc etc) and what each one is?
-
1) C:\ (system partion) [38 GB]
2) D:\ (2nd partition) [260 GB]
3) E:\ (Blueray DVD Drive)
I do have a flash memory disk which only shows if I insert a flash memory card in it. -
What drives does that display as? Have you already remedied this issue, since you said you were formatting?
