Here's the deal. I want to attach an external LCD monitor to my notebook. This works fine, but since my notebook is standing right next to the monitor, I would like to use the notebook display as well. I want to do this using Dual View (nVidia), since I don't want any stretched out taskbars. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me, nVidia doesn't allow me to set my external monitor as the primairy monitor! The checkbox is greyed out, so there's nothing I can do.
Does anyone else have/had this same problem? Does anyone know a solution, or a workaround? Maybe some extra software? I've tried Ultramon, but it greys out the external monitor when I want to switch the primairy display.

I have the same problem. I'll let you know when/if I find why this is happening. I had my external as primary and then someone changed it and I can't change it back due to being grey'd out.
Let me know what you learned whenever you do. -
I've managed to get my monitor to be active by making selecting the second choice given on the screen provided after hitting fn + F7.
However, my laptop screen is inactive.
Can't switcht primairy monitor using Dual View (nVidia)
