Okay, my problem is that I cannot burn an Audio CD. Here is some information:

-iTunes will begin the writing process, but immediately well cancel the burn and give me the error: 4900.
-WMP gives me a similar error, but I forget which one
-The CDs are not the cause of the problem since I can burn a data CD-R just fine
-Burning DVD ISOs work just fine

What else should I be trying to fix this problem?

Have you tried different CD's (brands/makers)?

Did you try the RecordNow that came with your ThinkPad? If you're running DLA you might want to consider dumping it. It's a known troublemaker.

I have not tried RecordNow, but I will certainly try it tomorrow and report back. As for DLA, what is that?

    I'm just thinking...
    Faulty CD drive?

I know my Medion had a faulty drive - and while Nero worked fine (initially) SonicStage never managed to burn an Atrac CD...
Don't ask me why and how.

If you can get hold of a USB CD/DVD burner you could check whether its hardware or software related.

DLA is packet writing software similar to InCD or DirectCD. It allows you to place a disc in the drive, then drag and drop files in Windows Explorer once the disc is formatted. It's known to cause problems. My R60 had it installed by default. I don't know about the T61.
