I cannot view pictures that are 5 megapixels or higher in Windows Media Player 11. My pictures are JPG files, and they appear as a bunch of lines in WMP11 [see attachment]. If I resize the photos so they are smaller, WMP11 can display them clearly.

The music and video functions work well, which is good, just not the photos.

Does anyone have the same problem? I have reinstalled WMP11 twice with the same results. Curiously, it could be my laptop that'e the problem because my mom's desktop with WMP11 can display them.

same behaviour under vistaRC2 - wmp11 can view small picture file but not large picture file
. may be it is not meant to be used to view pictures?

    more experts out there?

    cheers ...
