This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Cannot view hidden files and folders

    For some reason, if I tick the setting to view hidden files/folder,the screen just acts like I hit the refresh(F5) button, but it doesn`t reveal the hidden things.
    It`s on my HP nx9420,but I don`t think it matters
    XP SP2.

    See if unticking "Hide protected system files" makes any difference.
