    Hi,

I've got an .ISO file (4.38GB) that I would like to burn onto a regular DVD-R disc (4.7GB).

The problem is that it wont burn. I've tryed almost every free burning program and Nero.

I've burned bigger .ISO files before succesfully.

    Please HELP.

    Hi.

A standard blank DVD-R is showing up as 4.38gb free in Vista32 , I suppose the difference from 4.7gb is the FAT, if your ISO file is slightly over this size have you tried overburing it with Nero.

But you would think it would be made to fit a standard DVD-R
    Regards

    John.

    • At what point is it failing to burn?
    • Does the burning program recognize the drive as a burner?
    • Does the burning program recognize the DVD as recordable media?
    • Do you have any error messages coming up? If so, what do they say?

    1. When I click burn.
    2. Yes.
    3. Yes.
    4. Just says not enough space.

This is really not cool. The disc should have 300MB free space after the burning...

Try using InfraRecorder. Take a screen shot of any error message that pops up or post exactly what it says. Also, is the disc you are attempting to burn empty? What type is it (DVD+R,DVD-R,DVD+RW,DVD-RW) & what brand?

The size of an iso is NOT the size the files will occupy on the disk
