Hi,i followed instructions to install latest catalyst drivers (5.10) for Mobility X700 using Mobility Modder... well i installed the driver succesfully and then from C:/ATIi installed Catalyst Control Center. I rebooted my laptop and then at next startup i got an error regarding CLI.exe, failed to initialize. Now everytime I reboot I get same error.

Laptop is Acer Ferrari 4005MLWi Win XP Pro.

    Anyone know what's wrong? :(

I know that CLI.exe has something to do with catalyst, but I fixed it by just putting the original drivers back in

Have you tried installing the Mobility Catalyst 5.10? Sometimes there are problems with the desktop drivers, such as the ones you are experiencing. You can get the Mobility Catalyst from www.DriverHeaven.net. ;)

CLI errors come from the .NET framework not being properly installed. Install it, and it should work fine!

i agree that seems like a problem caused by the .NET not being installed or has a problem.

I got the same error when I uninstalled .NET by mistake.

You can also use the omega drivers. That's what I am using now. I still prefer them over any of the rest.

I prefer the Omega drivers as well. They have some nice performanc tweaks, a bit faster than the stock ATI drivers.

Yes - it is caused by the .NET framework - that is a requirement - says it on the ATI site.
