Well, this is a minor issue but it is bugging the hell out of me. I have a shiny new Powernote 259IA (Uniwill barebones), with the specs you see in my sig. The problem is that the temperature reading does not seem to be correct in CHC and other monitoring programs like speedfan. It measures the HD temp fine, but the CPU temp is always shown as 75C, no matter what. I know it must be lower than this because I am undervolting, and have the Vantec Lapcool 2 blowing cool air at all times. Any suggestions?

I have already updated to the latest BIOS from Uniwill. Additionally, I cannot get into the BIOS (supposed to press F2 upon boot, in the POST... but hell, I just can't get in) to see if there is a setting in there to enable, help for that would be appreciated too.

    Cheers,
    Stu

I had another uniwill barebone. The processor temp was shown fixed 11C by all monitoring programs. Only the 10-th version of bios published recently has repaired it. Your model is younger, so you probably have to waite for several generations of bios updates and ... to mobilize people to complane to uniwill. ;)

Probably the case... but does anyone else have another suggestion?

Have you tried Everest Home Edition? It won't help you undervolt, but it might tell you what your actual temps are...
