I often use dual displays (laptop and one external), but my physical layout is the opposite of the Windows default layout for dual displays. I know that I can go in and change it, but the changes never stick. Is there a way that I can make a permanent change so when I plug my monitor in and turn it on, Windows will keep it in the same (and proper) place?

Wouldn't that be nice? I have never found a solution to it. Windows tends to do everything automatically, trying to do what it thinks you want it to do, so it never ends up doing what you actually want it to do. I always lose my power settings and monitor orientation, as well as screen resolutions.
