Is there a way I can change the Windows XP Logon Screen res (I have display setup at 1440 X 900) and would like to have the Windows Logon Screen at a Res of (800 X 600) OR (1024 X 768). Currently the Logon Screen fills up the entire LCD space & I would like to avoid that.

Prefer not to use third-party utilities. Can this be done through a Registry hack ?

I don't think there's a way...But I suggest either changing the resolution of ur screen or change the resolution of the image u have as ur logon wallpaper. I think you know how to do this already. You can use IrfanView to resize the Wallpaper image and save it as a Bitmap image.
