Programs that are not 64-bit native or compiled for 64-bit are installed in the Program Files (x86) folder, while 64-bit programs are installed in the Program Files directory. Unless you want some serious system errors, I suggest you leave the setup the way it is; its like that for a reason.

when im using 32bit vista..i change the program files directory to a larger partition to avoid too much fragmentation..
and it runs without problem(no mislinked programs,errors)....
isnt theres a solution to move my x86 program files folder to other drive?(E:/PROGRAM FILES X86)
because the x64 ones have been set as default installation folder..but althou i have changed x86 too...
when i install some programs it still linked to drive C

I don't understand how you've got your computer set up. Clearly you're dual-booting Vista x86 and 64-bit... have you moved the Program Files directory to a separate partition, and now you want to know how to move the Program Files (x86) to a separate partition from Vista 64-bit as well?

    no no no...i mean...
i just installed on my computer X64 replacing x86....
and when im still using 32 bit OS i can set the program files to drive E

but after i installed x64 vista...
and installed some programs..i find out that the 64 bit OS created two seperated program files which is..
    C:/program files and C:/program files x86

so..i had already set on the registry that when im installing a program
    both should have selected
E:/program files and E:/program files x86 as default installation directory respectively

    heres the problem...
    when i install a 64bit program...
the system linked the program files directory to
    E:/program files

but when i install 32bit program..
the system still linked the default program files folder which is
    C:/program files x86 instead of E:/program files x86

i wonder how can i alter the default directory to E:/program files x86 ?
    or..have i done something wrong?

I don't think I can help you if your problem is the result of hacking the registry... it is possible that there are other entries conflicting with your change.

    ok now....finally i found it :D
for those who wanted to change the default installation program for x86 applications
    edit the
    programfilesdir and programfilesdir(x86)
    to the desired location..

    and the key..is located in
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

    ONLY FOR X86 APPS... :)
