I recently changed the Power Plan and since then it always requires the password to sign-in when I start the computer or after the display has turned off. Ive changed the option to not require it there but nothing changes.

Ive even gone into my account settings in Metro but the option is greyed out. Ive completely turned off UAC too and set to Admin but I still get asked permission to copy files to certain areas (such as System32).

Anything I can do other than a factory restore?

Type "netplwiz" without the quotes into search and uncheck the box that says to require a password.

Have you put a corporate or work Exchange Account into the Mail App? Exchange Active Sync can enforce a Password Policy requiring the password, etc..

I removed accounts from the Mail app and no change so I uninstalled the app itself and yet I still have to keep entering the password.

    Any other ideas?

You need to reset the local security policy:

Control Panel -> User Accounts and Family Safety -> User Accounts -> Reset security policies

Thanks that worked, was going crazy.

How do I go about giving me full admin rights, a lot icons still have that shield logo and Windows prompts me when I try to copy files to certain areas (such as System32).
