    Hi all!

Simple question: how can I change HDD's between 2 laptops without installing Vista again? Or at least installing it on only one laptop.

I have the laptop in my sig and I want to take out the hdd and put it into a Dell laptop without reinstalling Vista. Do you think I should make a fresh installation?

No, the Vista license is only valid on the machine it came installed on.

It wouldnt work anyway without a fresh install of Vista because you'd have driver issues. Second, if its an OEM license, you'd be SOL anyway

If the old laptop and the new one were extremely similar (model, hd model, etc.) then all you would have to do is swap them :p
That's what I did for my replacement m1330 :D saved a couple of hours that way
