I just ordered a new notebook and I didn't have the option for the 64 bit version. I would like to get the 64 bit version and I was wondering if anyone knew where the cheapest place was to get it (online or offline) and which version should I get. Someone told me to get an OEM version from new egg but I dont know which version is the one I want because most of them say for systembuilders and I am not sure what that means. Thanks for all your help.

Since you bought a amd 64bit, you shoud buy the 64bit version. OEM version works fine in a laptop. It's the same thing as whats in a recovery disk except that doesn't come with the drivers you need. I have an OEM version myself. The difference between retail and OEM is the outside beautiful box. Both works the same except that OEM is going to be attached to your motherboard once you activate your key. On the other hand, retail version are transferable to other motherboards. Don't worry about "system builders" word. Its meant for the people who build computers, but others ppl can still use it as well. Newegg prices are unbeatable cheap compare to other places plus they provide fast shipping. You can't go wrong.
