Hi guys,
What's the best/cheapest place to get the latest version of XP?

Legally? eBay. Although I'm not up to date on how the EULA feels about second hand purchases.
Via Newegg, Vista and XP start at $78. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...40000368&Manufactory=1149&bop=And&Order=PRICE -
Some versions of the EULA are perfectly fine with transfers, but some are not. Plus, there is the lovely activation issues that might be a problem...
eBay is a very unreliable source for stuff like that, but with NewEgg you at least get a brand new one for cheap. $78 isn't too bad. -
I need something that will work on 2 different computers. Will the $78 version allow that? Or is it for 1 machine only?

One license per computer. You have to purchase another copy for your other computer.

Bummer.
Thanks. -
Don't forget - if you swap out hardware on that one computer, you're liable to get locked out of it too!

No, not really. The only time I've had trouble is when I swapped out the motherboard - when it wouldn't activate over the internet I called MS and told them the motherboard died. I haven't had a problem activating since then.
Cheapest place to get Windows XP ??
