    Some versions of the EULA are perfectly fine with transfers, but some are not. Plus, there is the lovely activation issues that might be a problem...

    eBay is a very unreliable source for stuff like that, but with NewEgg you at least get a brand new one for cheap. $78 isn't too bad.

    I need something that will work on 2 different computers. Will the $78 version allow that? Or is it for 1 machine only?

    One license per computer. You have to purchase another copy for your other computer.

    Don't forget - if you swap out hardware on that one computer, you're liable to get locked out of it too!

    No, not really. The only time I've had trouble is when I swapped out the motherboard - when it wouldn't activate over the internet I called MS and told them the motherboard died. I haven't had a problem activating since then.
