    Chess Titans missing in new HP laptop with win 7 Professional

    Just bought a HP dv8t: great machine!
    My old Vista had Chess Titans, which I liked a lot. With the dv8t, both the HP Games folder and the Games folder of the Start Menu, have a repeat of the same games, which are WildTangent games. No Chess Titans or any of the other card games! It's obviously a mistake by whoever put the software together.

    Is there a way to get it? Can it be downloaded from MS site?

    Weird... Try this...

    Go to the Control Panel and then "Programs and Features"... On the left menu, click on "Turn Windows features on or off"... When the window opens, expand "Games" and see if for some reason Chess Titans or any of the other games are simply unchecked...

    Its because its Windows7 Professional - same as Vista Business, games are not installed by default.

    And why should they, they are counterproductive anyway - so unwanted on business machines :D

    Except for those times when you find yourself feeling like a stranger in a strange land...within the chaos that passes for an airport...late at night...when the week's work is over and done with...tired and aching body...waiting to go home...when time seems to have stopped...but you have to be alert...for those intermezzo times and spaces...Chess Titan is a useful distraction.... :D
